Respite – Day One

Monday 5th August 2024 – Day One NDIS Respite

It is currently 5.30am and I am making the final touches on packing the last few items before my support worker arrives and we begin to journey to Port Macquarie for 6 days. It is going to be a bit of an exhausting day, but one that is much overdue and for sure needed.

I will be writing my blog posts bit by bit each day and then publishing at the end of the day. This way I can try to keep on top of everything that we do and see over the coming week. But for now, I need to get pack to packing and then pack the computer up as I leave in roughly 25 minutes. Yikes. Time flies.

It’s now 4pm and I am sitting in the apartment whilst my worker has gone to get me food from Calvin’s Charcoal Chicken, something that i have not had for a very long time. So looking forward to eating it when he gets back.

Already done some basic shopping and even had to do a chemist run when first arrived as I forgot one of my major medications that I need a couple times every day.

I will post more later tonight. I think that I might have a bit of a lay down after I have something to eat.

A few respite issues occurred late tonight, but that vis something for me to go into on another day.

The end of day 1 respite is over.
