Goodbye Ozempic

Yesterday I had my monthly appointment with my GP and I decided to bring up the issues I was having with my weekly injections of Ozempic. I want to be taken off it. I wanted to be placed back onto my several injections a day – I know it would mean going back to 4 to 5 injections daily instead of once a week. But the fact is the side effects I was getting from had horrible drugs for days afterwards just wasn’t worth it anymore. And it also wasn’t making any difference with my diabetes either. Maybe that is also part of it being so hard to get at the chemist because GPs keep prescribing it to people for weight loss.

After a brief discussion with her on the side effects and the total loss of appetite for days afterwards was putting me at greater risk of further health issues. She agreed and put me back onto my previous insulin, that was working. It is going to be hard getting back into the routine of several injections daily and having to take my BSL levels up to 6 times every day again. but in the end, it will be worth it.

So, all I can say for now is GOODBYE OZEMPIC!
